BMW R NineT: troisième partie


Partie un et deux de BMW R NineT Racer ont été filmés sur place à Buttonwillow Raceway dans la chaleur torride d'un désert d'été de Mojave. Maintenant, pour la troisième partie, Boxer Team America se dirige vers le nord-est à SLC et la haute altitude de Campus Utah Motorsports (anciennement connu sous le nom de Miller Motorsports Park pour ceux d'entre nous qui existent depuis un certain temps) avec deux nouveaux membres de l'équipe pour participer à un autre AHRMA Nationale.

<p class=Ben Ahern, un habitué des courses de superbikes poids lourd WERA sur son Aprilia RSV4 2016, affichant le ventre fait maison qu'il a fouetté ensemble dans les quatre jours de préavis qu'il a dû convertir sa BMW R NineT de rue en une machine légale pour la course. L'ensemble de roues BST en carbone ultra-léger, le système Akrapovič full-ti et les fourches, l'amortisseur et l'amortisseur Öhlins n'ont pas fait de mal non plus.

<p class=L'Irlandais: de retour à la concurrence d'un hiatus de course sur route de 19 ans, le propriétaire de BMW S1000RR / pilote de journée sur piste Kevin Madigan a utilisé sa toute nouvelle BMW R Nine T Pure 2019 pour se mouiller à nouveau dans les joies de la course sur route contre vos copains .

Pour ceux d'entre vous qui ont manqué partie un et deuxième partie, les vidéos décrivaient le développement d'une paire de BMW R NineT à partir de cafés de style classique conçus pour une diversion modérée à travers les canyons, à des armes de course de club de bonne foi. La maison naturelle du R NineT était la classe Battle of the Twins 1 (BOT 1) contre d'autres jumeaux refroidis par air de plus de 900 cc, mais pour un vrai test de machine et de pilote, nous les avons également inscrits dans la classe Sound of Thunder 2 d'AHRMA (SOT 2 ) qui opposent les jolis Racers à des moteurs 2 temps 125 cm3 et 250 cm3 nettement plus légers, KTM 690cc monocylindre Kramers, plus puissant refroidi par liquide Triumph Daytona 675 triples et une poignée de jumeaux refroidis par liquide de moins de 900 cm3.

<p class=Fast Company: le propriétaire de San Diego BMW, Gary Orr, fait de son mieux pour s'accrocher à l'arrière du Troy «Trizzle» Siahaan de MO sur le Kramer HKR-EVO2 R. de 275 lb propulsé par KTM 690 de 275 livres. Bien que le R NineT ait fait environ 35 chevaux de plus que le Kramer, la différence de 200 lb de poids sur sol mouillé rendait les motos assez égales en accélération.

<p class=Trois façons de faire la course en club. L'auteur Sean Matic (914) utilise un vélo de rue Twin 1200cc refroidi par air modifié, dépourvu de lumières DOT et de poids d'émission pour essayer de suivre les deux vélos de course construits à cet effet, montés par deux pilotes talentueux. Le Honda NSR 250cc 2 temps léger sous Ralph Staropoli (80) était l'arme de vitesse de virage de Grand Prix de choix dans les années 90 et au début des années 2000 jusqu'à ce que le réchauffement climatique et le resserrement des émissions rendent les 2 temps obsolètes. Entrez dans le Trizzle de MO sur le Kramer HKR 4 temps spécialement conçu pour remplir le trou laissé par les fabricants japonais et européens pour un vélo de course léger spécialement conçu.

Branchez-vous sur la vidéo pour savoir ce que les nouveaux membres de l'équipe, Ben Ahern et Kevin Madigan, ont pensé à piloter un vélo non conçu en pensant à la course, comment le R NineT a géré le parcours UMC East sinueux et fluide, et quel club courir avec AHRMA l'un des premiers parcours routiers d'Amérique était comme.
